Halo Wars Elite – Strategy – Hornet Rush

This is the Hornet Rush. Datherax sent me an email and asked me to give it a try. I did and I quite like it. It takes a few mins longer than the Warthog Rush but it is more powerful and prevents hunters from killing you fast.

Check Out Datherax Youtube Channel

Step 1: Build 4 supply depots
Step 1a: Build Turrets to defend
Step 2: Send Warthog out gathering supplies
Step 3: 2 Build Reactors
Step 4: Build Air Pad
Step 5: Start cranking out Hornets
Step 6: Upgrade ALL Supply Pads (Priority 1)
Step 7: Once Supply Pads are upgraded go heavy on the hornets
Step 8: Once You Have 12-15 of them CHARGE!

Again thanks for Datherax for sharing this strategy with us.

After watching this video I figured it would make a great counter rush to tank rushes and it did! I made two rail gun turrents and a bunch of hornets and when the tank rush showed up, they got slaughtered and their base was completely exposed afterwards.

in my opinion the prophet rush is the most popular amongst the no life generals(me a major) and also the tank rush one. that pisses me off bc hey i dont rush bc its a game so why get done in 10-15 mins? so most of these are good strategies and alot of people can use them if they do it well. i just stick to making my army choice and using forge or the arbiter :)

I have a hornet rush which i found to be faster. u start off as forge and build 5 supply pads while gathering resources. upgrade your base so you can build a reactor. by the time your reactor is built you have about 1200 resources so you can upgrade your reactor. After the upgrade build an airfield and 2 hornets. once you start your hornets destroy one supply pad and build another airfield. pump out hornets you get a full army in about 7 minutes. then destroy an airfield and build another reactor to research wingman. Then DUMP

try using forge on blood gulch, build 5 supply pads 1 reactor, and barracs (5 to 7) to take reactor and forrunner supply pad on right and left then destroy barracs then start building hornets.

all of your strategys suck and your the reason that so many people that play halo wars rage quit its becasue people like you who find cheap “strategys” to win honestly you are the reason people tankrush also hornet rush and banshee rush seriously let people figure out what units they like instead of giving them a golden ticket and saying this is the way of the douchbag just follow these instructions and your not a good player if you rush in fact its the opposite to be a good player you need to be able to micro manage be able to use at least 3 type of units at once and not only relying on on unit type but there are exceptions say someone builds pure hawks then to tanks build cobras or hornets or both dont just build tanks and have a gridlock thats retarted and that happends way to often also use your special units grimlins and warthogs work beautifly togeather throw in some hawks and your unstopable also as forge the cyclopsis are a good investment to have if your trying to hard to get a 14* grizzly because of their “free heals” (i have a 12 minute strategy to get a 14 or 13* tank) if youreally want to get better or just need tips dont use these shitty videos play the game or send me a message my GT is zadtffslayer and seriously get play the game dont let it play you
